Five Things Every Maytag Owner Should Know

Before you call anyone about a Maytag that isn't very old, find out whether a manufacturer warranty or service plan is still active. If it is, use it first; that's money you shouldn't spend with me.

Leave the Maytag where it stands; you shouldn't have to drag it from the wall or unscrew a panel for the model label. Photograph the tag if it's easy to reach, and tell me if it isn't.

The full model number tells me more than the appliance's age or color does. Maytag has built many designs over the years, and two machines that look alike can be built very differently.
